I was a woman with a good idea and vision for a foundation that would bring this idea to the world. I had several elements in place but what I needed to learn was how to actually structure a not-for-profit foundation. Barrie Segall, through his Board Development Retreat, provided insightful clear direction that focused the energy and talents of my group and helped us to create a cohesive, productive non-profit organization.

Along with his strategic planning expertise, Barrie brought heart and soul into the room. His genuine interest in our mission helped to create an exciting, inspirational learning environment. We left feeling knowledgeable and empowered and look forward to making our foundation a reality.

“Barrie Segall has brought a strategic approach of fund development to the Junior League of Los Angeles.  He has worked hands-on to understand the organization and the unique fundraising challenges.  With Barrie’s guidance and training, we have implemented a Fund Development Plan and a Case for Giving with the approach that fund development is a result of cultivating relationships and that the whole organization plays a part.  Barrie continues to provide guidance, training, and a proven strategic approach to the Junior League of Los Angeles as we continue to work on our fund development efforts”

img3“As a long time non-profit executive director, I have worked with many boards at all stages of development.  Barrie Segall was able to quickly distill what our challenges were and motivate the Board of Directors with a new sense of mission, culminating in a strategic plan with a structure that works for us.  In addition, Barrie continues to stay in touch, providing a sense of support that is generally not present with consultants who complete an ‘assignment'”
